Before you read
Treat this page as a working template written in everyday language for ESA Letter TX. A licensed attorney has not reviewed it yet, and one should before the business relies on it. Wherever you see [confirm], the owner still has to verify or supply a business detail.
What we provide
ESA Letter TX lets you schedule a brief evaluation, by phone or by video, with a licensed clinician through an outside telehealth platform. Whether to write an ESA letter is a professional judgment that belongs only to that clinician. We can't overrule it, and your payment plays no part in it.
Articles on the site give general information about Texas and federal rules. They aren't legal advice and don't make us your attorney.
Limits on what anyone can promise
- A visit may end without a letter.
- Landlords, HOAs, colleges and others make their own decisions. Following the HUD memo issued in May 2026, untrained ESAs get individual review, and fees may be allowed.
- An ESA has no legal pass into stores or restaurants, and carriers may classify one as a regular pet.
- The site may occasionally be unavailable or contain errors.
Not an emergency service
Nothing here is meant for urgent care. Anyone facing a mental health crisis should call or text 988; in an emergency call 911.
Eligibility and accounts
Users must have reached age 18 [confirm age policy] and provide truthful details about who they are, where they're located and their health. Keep your patient portal password to yourself; activity under your login is your responsibility.
Fees and billing
The fee for a letter that names one or two animals is $129. Three or more animals cost $199. A campus housing letter is $129. Reserving an appointment is free, and payment is collected only once a letter is written. If prices change, the amount displayed at the time you scheduled still applies to that visit. Refunds are handled under our refund policy.
Honest use of your letter
Don't misstate facts to get a letter, edit a letter after it's issued, or present it as more than it is. An ESA letter doesn't make an animal a service animal. Under §121.006 of the Texas Human Resources Code, knowingly calling an untrained animal a service or assistance animal is a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine as high as $1,000 along with 30 hours of community service. If we learn a letter was obtained or used dishonestly, we may end service and decline to support that letter [confirm].
Content, liability and governing law
Text, graphics and logos on the site belong to ESA Letter TX or the parties who licensed them to us. Printing or sharing a page for your own use is fine; republishing the site commercially is not.
To the extent Texas and federal law allow, the site comes without warranties, and any liability we have for a claim tied to the service won't exceed what you paid for that service [confirm]. Each clinician answers for their own professional work. These terms don't take away any right Texas law says you can't give up.
Texas law governs these terms [confirm governing law and venue]. When we revise them, the effective date changes. Send questions to support@esalettertx.com.
